Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 May 2025
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ClankerCamp platform available at clankercamp.com ("Service"), operated by ZALMOXIS LIMITED, a company incorporated in England and Wales ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ClankerCamp is an AI-powered technical evaluation platform. Employers create timed challenges, share them with candidates via unique links, and observe candidates solving problems in real-time using AI-assisted workspaces. Each candidate receives an isolated cloud sandbox environment to complete their challenge.
3. Account Registration and Eligibility
You may create an account using GitHub OAuth or join a session as a guest by providing your name and email address. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account or joining a session.
4. User Tiers and Access
- Free: Access to public challenges with limited sandbox minutes per month.
- Hobby / Pro: Paid subscription tiers that include custom challenges, increased sandbox minutes, session monitoring, and additional features as described on our Pricing page.
5. Payments, Billing, and Refunds
Paid subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed through Stripe. By subscribing or making a purchase, you authorise us to charge the payment method provided via Stripe for the applicable fees.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us. One-time challenge credit purchases are non-refundable once a challenge has been built and delivered.
6. API Keys and Third-Party Services
Certain features require you to provide your own API keys for third-party AI services (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI). You are solely responsible for the costs incurred through your API keys. We do not store or access your API keys beyond what is necessary to operate the sandbox environment during a session.
When creating sessions for candidates, your API key is used to power the AI agent in each participant's sandbox. You are responsible for any charges incurred by participants using your key.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' sandboxes, accounts, or data.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or other harmful content.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except as permitted by law.
- Resell, sublicence, or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by Zalmoxis Limited and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any code, data, or submissions you create within your sandbox environment.
Challenge content created by us on behalf of a paying customer remains the property of Zalmoxis Limited, with a perpetual licence granted to the customer for use in their hiring process.
9. Data and Privacy
We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and processing of your data in accordance with that policy.
10. Sandbox Environments
Each user receives an isolated cloud sandbox for challenge attempts. Sandboxes are temporary and are terminated after use. You must not attempt to persist data beyond the intended scope of a session, bypass container isolation, or use sandbox resources for purposes unrelated to the challenge.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zalmoxis Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms, you may contact Zalmoxis Limited via its registered office address, available on the UK Companies House register.
